Terms of Service
Last updated August 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mtieli mobile app and this web portal (together, the "Service"), operated as a pre-launch product for discovering, planning, and sharing outdoor adventures in Georgia. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Your account
You sign in with an email address and password, or with Google, and you're responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use Mtieli. You can delete your account yourself at any time — in the app under Settings → Delete Account, or from the delete account page.
2. Content you share
Posts, photos, comments, spot logs, condition reports, and community posts you submit remain yours, but by posting you grant Mtieli a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service so other members can see it. You're solely responsible for what you post — don't upload anything you don't have the rights to, and don't post content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Outdoor activity is at your own risk
Mtieli surfaces community-contributed trail conditions, weather forecasts, gear suggestions, and route information to help you plan — none of it is a guarantee of safety. Mountain weather, trail conditions, and terrain in the Caucasus change quickly and can be hazardous. You are solely responsible for assessing conditions, your own skill level, and your equipment before any hike, climb, camp, or outing. Mtieli is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from outdoor activities planned or logged using the Service.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Mtieli offers optional Plus and Pro memberships, and a one-time Tourist Pass. Where billing is live, purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and those stores — not Mtieli — take the payment. We never receive your card details.
Auto-renewal. Plus and Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews at the same price each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings — deleting your Mtieli account does not cancel store billing. Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The Tourist Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through, under its own policy — Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through Play Store order history. We can't issue refunds for store purchases directly, but contact us if something has gone wrong and we'll help you resolve it.
EU right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because access begins immediately, that right ends once you start using the paid features — by purchasing, you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge you lose the withdrawal right at that point.
5. Reporting content
Every post, comment and profile can be reported from inside the app, and you can block any member. If you believe content on Mtieli infringes your copyright, email us with the content's location, a description of the work, and confirmation that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
6. Ending your access
You can stop using Mtieli and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms, and where it's reasonable to do so we'll tell you why. If we terminate your account without cause while you hold a paid subscription, you can seek a pro-rata refund through your store.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Mtieli to harass other members, scrape or resell our data, attempt to access accounts that aren't yours, or interfere with the Service's normal operation. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and disputes go to the courts of Tbilisi. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, or of your right to bring proceedings there. Please contact us first — most things are quicker to resolve by email.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves, especially around launch and the introduction of real billing. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
